Le Feu sous terre (2023)
An almost allegorical addendum to the previous work and, we could say, to all those preceding it, like a codicil, the series "Le Feu sous terre" is the simple observation of fumaroles escaping from a thick layer of lava, several years after an eruption, despite it having cooled. This geological phenomenon, observed on a remote island, forces another measure of time, and humility, like an ultimate evocation of vertigo: these volutes will continue to escape when I—when we—won’t be here any longer to record them.
