L’éclipse (2000-2010)
How to see differently? How to come up against the real and tear away from it? Wandering at night near my home, and then in other cities I was visiting, everything appeared in another light. Often it is the gesture that took the lead, sometimes even without looking through the lens, like an extension of sensations, in the unexpected, the unknown. But also the color and material of the images, blurred, as raw as the experiences they have been through. Almost in counterpoint to my other works, L’éclipse represents a quasi-expressionist attempt to renounce the subject for the subject's sake.
