Tanger (2024…)
A connection between Africa and Europe, shaped by a myriad of influences, the port city of Tangier stands apart in Morocco. A long way from the myths that it embodies, over the last fifteen or so years there has been remarkable revival, driven by a government redevelopment program. A case of accelerated urbanization and globalization. I have chosen to explore this territory, away from the news, by focusing, figuratively and literally, on motifs. In an approach open to fiction, more allusive than description, I’ve produced several groups of images, autonomous and complementary, that question the possibilities of representing a city today.
