Tanger (2024-2025)
At the crossroads of Africa and Europe, shaped by multiple influences, the port city of Tangier stands apart in Morocco. A long way from the myths it still conveys, It has experienced a spectacular growth over the past fifteen years, driven by a state program. Its outlying port is now the largest in the Mediterranean. Outside news, I chose to explore this border territory and observe its forms, as a case study of accelerated urbanization and globalization. By multiplying processes and patterns, as literally as figuratively, I produced complementary groups of images, as one makes a puzzle. This work is an attempt to renew my approach as to question the very modalities of representing a city today.
